Colts injury updates: Darius Leonard dealing with groin injury

Injury updates following the Week 4 win.

The Indianapolis Colts (3-1) came away with a big 19-11 win on Sunday over the Chicago Bears (3-1) at Soldier Field, but they did see injuries to some prominent players on the defensive side of the ball.

First, linebacker Darius Leonard suffered a groin injury during the first half of the game on Sunday. Head coach Frank Reich confirmed the injury when speaking to reporters in the postgame interview. However, the Colts aren’t sure how serious the injury is at this point.

His status will need to be monitored over the next few days as the Colts prepare for the Cleveland Browns (3-1) in Week 5.

Another injury that will need to be monitored comes with cornerback Rock Ya-Sin. In the fourth quarter, Ya-Sin suffered a non-contact injury and walked gingerly off the field. He was attended to on the field by the training staff before leaving.

Reich said he hadn’t heard any update about Ya-Sin’s injury before he spoke to the media following the game. Hopefully, it isn’t too serious, especially after he had a strong performance on Sunday.

The Colts won’t practice until Wednesday when they prepare for the Browns, but there’s a chance we get an update on Monday when Reich follows up with the media again.
