Colorado (2-1) defeated the Vols, 78-66, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Vols led, 34-32, at halftime.
Tennessee made 16-of-63 field goal attempts against the Buffaloes. The Vols were out-rebounded, 50-43, and recorded 15 turnovers.
Four Tennessee players recorded 10-plus points in the contest.
Tyreke Key and Josiah-Jordan James each scored 15 points off the bench for the Vols.
Zakai Zeigler totaled 12 points, while Santiago Vescovi scored 11.
Olivier Nkamhoua was Tennessee’s leading rebounder (10). James finished the contest with eight rebounds.
KJ Simpson scored a game-high 23 points for Colorado.
The Buffaloes led by as many as 14 points during the second half.
