Clemson lands four-star cornerback commitment

Clemson just added a fourth commit to its 2023 recruiting class, and it’s a big get for the Tigers.

Clemson added its fourth commitment to its 2023 class on Friday after four-star cornerback Branden Strozier announced his pledge to the Tigers on Twitter.

According to 247Sports Composite, Strozier is the No. 39 cornerback in the nation. The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder attends St. Francis High School in Alpharetta, Georiga. Strozier chose Clemson over 17 other schools that offered him, including Alabama, Florida State, Florida, and Auburn.

Strozier is the fourth four-star recruit in the class of 2023 to commit to Clemson. Quarterback Christopher Vizzina, wide receiver Nathaniel Joseph and edge David Ojiegbe are the other three players. Three-star tight end Reid Mikeska was committed to Clemson but announced a change of heart on May 12 and reopened his recruitment.

Clemson lost two experienced corners in Andrew Booth Jr. and Mario Goodrich to the NFL this offseason, so Strozier’s commitment could help fill the void they left behind.
