The Baltimore Ravens have had to rely on quarterback Tyler Huntley more than anticipated over the last two seasons due to injuries to their star quarterback in Lamar Jackson. The team has seen some success under their backup, but the ceiling of the offense as a whole drops without Jackson on the field, as do the points.
When ranking the backup quarterback options throughout the NFL, Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports put Huntley in his upper-echelon at No. 3 overall. Benjamin said that despite throwing for more interceptions than touchdowns in his career, he’s shown he’s capable of guiding a path to the playoffs.
“An improbable Pro Bowl pick for his relief of Lamar Jackson in 2022, Huntley has thrown more INTs (7) than TDs (5) in just 15 career games, but at 25, with above-average dual-threat traits, he’s already proven capable of guiding a path to the playoffs.”
