Tom Brady is moving into Derek Jeter’s Tampa mansion

Tom Brady is going to rent Derek Jeter’s home in Tampa.

If it is good enough for one Michigan man, it is good enough for another. Tom Brady has found a home in Tampa now that he is with the Bucs and it is the mansion owned by Hall of Famer Derek Jeter.

Per the Tampa Bay Times.

Brady has arrived in Tampa Bay and is in the process of moving his family into the sprawling, 30,000-square foot mansion on Davis Islands built by Yankees Hall of Fame shortstop Derek Jeter, the Tampa Bay Times has confirmed. The home, which they are renting, features seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, an entertainment room and billiards room that wraps around a pool with two boat lifts providing access to Tampa Bay.

Per the New York Times:

At 30,875 square feet, it has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a pool, two boat lifts, a drive-through portico and two three-car garages. In 2005 and 2006, Jeter’s development company bought two adjacent lots, paying $7.7 million, in order to give his humble home room to breathe. Construction started in 2010. The home’s nickname among locals? St. Jetersburg.

Brady, of course needs new digs for his family because he recently signed a contract to play with the Tampa Bay Bucs after spending 20 years with the New England Patriots.

Wonder what Jeter thinks of Brady’s decision to move on from the Patriots. Jeter played for the Yankees for his entire career, which spanned 1995-2014.

Brady’s drive to work from Davis Islands to the AdventHealth Training Center is about 7.3 miles, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Aldon Smith is returning to the NFL as a Dallas Cowboy after being out of the league since 2015.

The Dallas Cowboys are attempting another reclamation project, having signed Aldon Smith. The defensive end last played in 2015 with the Oakland Raiders. A look at what has transpired in the NFL since he last took the field

The Raiders moved to Las Vegas

When Smith last played for the Raiders, they called Oakland home. That is changing with the 2020 season as the Silver and Black will move to Sin City, Las Vegas. Oh, and they also brought back Jon Gruden as their coach.

Watch: Antonio Brown works out with Ravens’ Lamar Jackson, Hollywood Brown

Troubled wideout Antonio Brown worked out with the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson and Marquise Brown.

Wonder if this could put some thoughts or temptation into the mind of Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh.

His NFL MVP Lamar Jackson and star rookie wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown are working out with a former Pro Bowl receiver: Hollywood’s cousin, Antonio Brown.

The trio may be activated but have to wonder if the Ravens’ organization has concerns over two of its younger stars working out with the troubled and controversial former Steelers, Raiders and Patriots star.

The Ravens should be in the market for a wideout at the upcoming NFL Draft. They have nine picks, including five in the first three rounds. Baltimore’s wide receivers totaled 115 catches last season, which were 22 fewer than any other team in the NFL.

10 years after being drafted, a season-by-season look at Tim Tebow’s football career

Looking at Tim Tebow’s NFL career 10 years after the Denver Broncos made him a first-round pick.

The Denver Broncos selected Florida quarterback Tim Tebow with the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. By the time he was chosen, the Gators’ star already transcended the sport. He didn’t light up the NFL, but that should not diminish all of his accomplishments on the field and off it.

Tim Tebow was one of the prized recruits in this year’s class. The lefty quarterback was home-schooled before heading off to Gainesville. When he arrived at Florida, Chris Leak was entrenched as the quarterback. Tebow made some appearances as a freshman, completing 22-of-33 passes for 358 yards with five TDs and one pick. Tebow also rushed for 469 yards and eight touchdowns.

What numbers will Tom Brady and Chris Godwin wear in 2020?

The Tampa Bay Bucs announced the jersey numbers Tom Brady and Chris Godwin will wear in 2020.

The numbers 12 and 14 were big on Tuesday when it came to NFL news. First, the league announced it was expanding its playoff system by two teams. When Drew Brees plays his first game in 2020, he’ll join a small club of players who have logged 20 seasons in the NFL.

To date, just 21 men have reached that exclusive mark of longevity. It’s an interesting mix of kickers and quarterbacks, Hall of Famers and journeymen.

Tom Brady is a member. So is Brett Favre. But who else reached the two-decade mile marker? Let’s take a look, starting with …

George Blanda: 26 seasons

(Manny Rubio-USA TODAY Sports)

There are a few quarterbacks on this list and a lot of kickers. But only one was both a quarterback and kicker. Blanda played until the age of 48 after both throwing and kicking for the Bears, Colts, Oilers and Raiders. His final start under center came at the age of 41, but kicked for seven more seasons. He still owns the record for most extra points made (943) and attempted (959). He died in 2010 at the age of 83.

16 of the most stunning sports stories in the first quarter of 2020

Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, the Kobe Bryant tragedy were a few of the biggest sports stories in the first three months of 2020.

The first three months of 2020 have been unlike any other in many ways. The coronavirus pandemic stopped everything. That was one of the massive stories that rocked the world and sports in the first quarter of the year.

Rudy Gobert

Andy Marlin-USA TODAY Sports

The coronavirus was starting to take hold of the United States. It became real for sports fans when the Utah Jazz took the court to play the Oklahoma City Thunder and before the opening tap the teams hustled off the court. Word got around Rudy Gobert, who had “playfully” touch reporters’ mics and recorders days earlier had been stricken with the virus. The game was called off and soon the NBA season was on hold.
