Here’s which uniforms the Rams and Jaguars will wear on Sunday

The Ram are back home and wearing their royal jerseys, but with what color pants?

The Rams are in dire need of a win this week after dropping their last three games to fall to 7-4 on the year, and they have a great opportunity with the Jaguars next on the schedule. They’ll host the 2-9 Jags at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, a matchup the Rams are heavily favored in.

Both teams recently redesigned their uniforms and when they square off in Inglewood, they’ll each be dressed in some quality looks. The Rams will be wearing their blue jerseys and Bone pants for the first time since Week 7 against the Lions.

It’s one of the more popular combinations, so fans should be excited to see this on Sunday.

The Jaguars will be wearing their white jerseys with black pants this weekend. They’re 0-2 when wearing this uniform set In 2021.

Report: Odell Beckham Jr. expected to play, have bigger role in Rams offense

Odell Beckham Jr. is dealing with a hip injury but he’s expected to play and be a bigger part of the offense on Sunday.

Odell Beckham Jr. is gaining comfort in the Rams offense as he continues to practice with his new team and learn the playbook, but a hip injury has held him back a bit in the last week. He was in visible pain against the Packers last week and didn’t practice in full once leading up to Sunday’s game against the Jaguars, but all signs point to him still suiting up.

After saying Friday that he plans to play, something Sean McVay also said himself, Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that Beckham is expected to be on the field and a bigger part of the offense, too.

The Rams will have Ben Skowronek available this time as their fourth receiver, unlike last week against the Packers, so at least they have a little bit more depth. But this offense is still heavily reliant on its top three receivers of Beckham, Cooper Kupp and Van Jefferson.

Beckham caught a 54-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford in Green Bay and totaled 81 yards on five catches after hauling in just two passes for 18 yards in his Rams debut in Week 10. The Rams need him to be an impactful receiver, even if he can’t fully replace what Robert Woods did for this offense.

Report: Rams not optimistic Darrell Henderson Jr. will play vs. Jaguars

Darrell Henderson Jr. will test his thigh injury before Sunday’s game but the Rams aren’t optimistic he’ll play.

Sean McVay indicated on Friday that Darrell Henderson Jr. could be a game-time decision against the Jaguars due to his thigh injury suffered against the Packers. He will test the injury pre-game to determine whether he’ll be able to play, but the Rams aren’t optimistic about him suiting up, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Henderson missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday before being limited to close out the week on Friday. Considering the opponent and McVay’s comments on Sony Michel keeping the Rams offense on track with his physical running style, it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising if the Rams keep Henderson out.

And even if Henderson does play, he probably won’t have a full workload like he usually does as the No. 1 running back.

The Rams must submit their list of inactive players 90 minutes before kickoff, so we’ll find out about Henderson’s status at around 2:35 p.m. ET. If you have him in fantasy, it might be wise to take him out of your lineup now, though.

The Rams will wrap up their slate against the AFC South this season when they host the Jaguars on Sunday afternoon at SoFi Stadium, their first game against Jacksonville since 2017. Having already beaten the Texans and Colts, but also losing to the Titans, the Rams are looking to go 3-1 against the AFC South in 2021.

The Jaguars are sitting at 2-9 and well off the playoff pace in the AFC, struggling to find much success in the first season of Trevor Lawrence and Urban Meyer. This is a game the Rams should absolutely win, especially after losing their last three. For everything you need to know in order to watch this matchup, check out our guide below.

Final score prediction for Rams vs. Jaguars in Week 13

The Rams went 0-3 in November, but will they start December with a victory over the Jaguars?

https://embed.sendtonews.com/oembed/?SC=zHdhZmNeTt-1650245-7498&format=json&offsetx=0&offsety=0&floatwidth=400&floatposition=bottom-right&float=on

Only one team has a worse record than the Jacksonville Jaguars, and it’s the winless Detroit Lions. When it comes to favorable matchups, it doesn’t get much better than this for the Los Angeles Rams in Week 13.

Not only are they facing the 2-9 Jaguars, but they’ll be at home in front of a crowd that should be dominated by Rams fans. Having lost their last three games, this matchup with Jacksonville couldn’t have come at a better time – assuming the Rams can take care of business at SoFi Stadium.

The Jags have the fourth-worst point differential in football, have given the ball away 19 times (fourth-most) and have forced just six turnovers in 11 games (fewest). They struggle against the pass, allowing 7.1 net yards per pass attempt, and they’ve also given up 14 rushing touchdowns.

The Rams have had a terrible time protecting the ball in their last three games with seven turnovers and only two takeaways, largely due to the struggles of Matthew Stafford. But again, this matchup is just what the doctor ordered for the Rams. They’re going up against a team that turns the ball over a bunch and hardly ever takes it away.

That should make for a fairly easy victory for the Rams. After falling behind early to the Titans, 49ers and Packers, the Rams should be able to jump out to a lead against Jacksonville and stay on schedule offensively. Expect to see Sony Michel and Darrell Henderson Jr. (if active) running the ball consistently, possibly setting up some more play action and misdirection rather than sticking to a drop-back passing game like the Rams have most of the season.

As 12.5-point favorites, the Rams are fully expected to win this game – and fairly comfortably, too. A loss to the lowly Jaguars would cause fans to slam the panic button, more so than they already have been.

I don’t see them losing this game, though. The Jaguars don’t have the playmakers on either side of the ball that the Titans, 49ers and Packers do. Those teams are playoff contenders. The Jaguars are not.

Final score prediction: Rams 27, Jaguars 20

Rams place Buddy Howell on IR, promote Mekhi Sargent and Brandon Powell

The Rams placed Buddy Howell on IR and activated Mekhi Sargent and Brandon Powell from the practice squad.

The Los Angeles Rams have been ailing at the running back position all season, and their injury woes continue to ravage their depth in the backfield. Ahead of Sunday’s game versus the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Rams have placed Buddy Howell on injured reserve, also activating Mekhi Sargent and Brandon Powell from the practice squad.

With Howell headed to injured reserve, he’ll miss at least the next three games. Besides Howell, Raymond Calais, Xavier Jones, and Jake Funk suffered various injuries that will keep them sidelined until 2022.

Also, it remains to be seen if Cam Akers can suit up this season due to an Achilles tear he suffered before training camp. So there’s a legitimate chance Los Angeles will have lost five running backs to season-ending injuries.

Given the team’s moves on Saturday, it’s apparent that Darrell Henderson Jr. — who is dealing with a thigh injury — is in real jeopardy of missing Sunday’s game against the Jaguars. Sony Michel could draw the start this week if Henderson is unable to play.

Sargent could be the No. 2 running back on the depth chart on Sunday if Henderson is inactive. Throughout the season, Sargent has logged only 15 total snaps (13 on special teams, 2 on offense), with all of them coming with the Tennessee Titans.

As the Rams prepare to make a strong push in the latter part of the season, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them search free agency for more depth at running back sometime in the near future.

4 burning questions for Rams vs. Jaguars in Week 13

Can the Rams get back on track against the Jaguars, who are just 2-9 this season?

https://embed.sendtonews.com/oembed/?SC=zHdhZmNeTt-1650245-7498&format=json&offsetx=0&offsety=0&floatwidth=400&floatposition=bottom-right&float=on

After losing their last three games, the Rams will play host to the Jaguars, who have also dropped three consecutive games. In desperate need of a win, the Rams couldn’t have asked for a much more favorable matchup.

Ahead of this game, we previewed the matchup with Jags Wire editor Jay Johnson, asking him four key questions about Jacksonville leading into Sunday’s tilt.

Rams injury report: Henderson could be game-time decision, Beckham and Havenstein questionable

Darrell Henderson Jr. could be a game-time decision against the Jaguars, while Odell Beckham Jr. and Rob Havenstein are both questionable.

We’ll have to wait until Sunday to find out officially whether Darrell Henderson Jr. and Odell Beckham Jr. will suit up against the Jaguars at SoFi Stadium. They’re both listed as questionable after being limited on Friday, though Beckham seems much more likely to play than Henderson.

Sean McVay said he would be surprised if Beckham doesn’t play, and added that Henderson could be a game-time decision due to his thigh injury. Ben Skowronek was also on the injury report early in the week but is good to go for Sunday’s game after missing Week 12 with back spasms.

Rob Havenstein popped up on the injury report with a foot issue Friday, causing him to be listed as questionable. McVay didn’t comment on Havenstein’s injury before practice, so it’s unclear when he got hurt or how serious it is.

David Long Jr. is also questionable after missing all three practices with an illness, which McVay said is not COVID-19-related. Buddy Howell has already been ruled out with a thigh injury.

Below is the full injury report for Week 13 against the Jaguars.

Sean McVay would be surprised if Odell Beckham Jr. doesn’t play vs. Jaguars

Odell Beckham Jr. will be questionable, but Sean McVay would be surprised if he doesn’t play against the Jaguars on Sunday.

Wide receiver depth is not something the Rams have much of right now after losing Robert Woods to a season-ending knee injury and cutting DeSean Jackson, so they need all hands on deck moving forward. Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a hip injury against the Packers this past week and missed practice Thursday, but he’s still on track to play on Sunday.

After it was reported by Ian Rapoport that Beckham’s status is “up in the air” for this weekend’s game against the Jaguars, Sean McVay told reporters that he still feels the way he did at the beginning of the week when he said he expects Beckham to play.

“That would be news to me. Still kind of feel the same. We’ll go through today, see how he’s feeling, but he’s making good progress,” he said.

McVay was asked if Darrell Henderson Jr. or Beckham will be game-time decisions, and although Henderson could be, he would be surprised if Beckham doesn’t play.

“Hopefully not. Maybe Darrell will be, but with Odell, the anticipation and expectation is that both those guys will be listed as questionable, but I would be surprised about Odell. And Darrell, we’re going to see how he feels today out at practice with his quad,” he said.

If for some reason Beckham can’t play, at least the Rams will have Ben Skowronek at wide receiver after he missed last week’s game with back spasms. He’s good to go for Week 13, McVay said.

NFL Week 13 picks: Every expert taking Rams to beat Jaguars on Sunday

With the Rams hosting the 2-9 Jaguars on Sunday, every expert is picking Los Angeles to win this week.

The Rams are probably thrilled to see the calendar turn from November to December after going winless in three games last month. They should also be happy to see the 2-9 Jaguars next on their schedule, as favorable a matchup as they could ask for right now.

Even though the Rams have lost three games in a row, they’re still heavily favored over Jacksonville. According to NFL Pick Watch, 100% of experts who have submitted their picks are taking the Rams to win straight-up. No other game this week has experts unanimously picking one game over the other.

With the spread factored in, 71% of experts are taking the Rams to cover the 12.5-point margin. That’s the fourth-largest percentage of any game in Week 13, so most experts don’t expect this game to be particularly close at SoFi Stadium.

The Rams and Jaguars have both lost their last three games, but it’s Los Angeles that hasn’t covered the spread in any of its last five. After starting the season 4-2 against the spread, the Rams are now 4-7 ATS after failing to cover in their last five games.

This is a good chance for the Rams to snap their losing streak against a team that’s really struggling right now.
