UFC 245 free fight: Relive Amanda Nunes’ finish of Holly Holm at UFC 239

Can’t wait for UFC 245 to roll around? Get ready for Amanda Nunes’ next fight by giving another look to her last one.

Ronda Rousey. Cris Cyborg. Miesha Tate. Germaine de Randamie. Valentina Shevchenko. Julia Budd.

That list represents a who’s who of women’s world mixed martial arts champions past and present. And the women on that list have something in common: They’ve all been defeated by UFC champ-champ [autotag]Amanda Nunes[/autotag].

Going into UFC 239, just one huge name was left off that ledger: Holly Holm. But on July 6, Nunes (18-4 MMA, 11-1 UFC) added Holm to her impressive list of vanquished foes, with a magnificent performance in a first-round TKO victory to successfully defend her bantamweight title.

Nunes, who is also UFC featherweight champion, puts her 135-pound belt up for grabs again at UFC 245 on Dec. 14, where she meets de Randamie (9-3 MMA, 6-1 UFC) for the second time.

And with the three-title-fight mega-card just a few weeks away, you can whet your appetite for Nunes’ return by reliving her UFC 239 finish of Holm. The UFC has made the bout free for all to watch, and you can check it out in the video linked above.

UFC Fight Pass 500 moments video: Chael Sonnen, Wanderlei Silva brawl on ‘TUF: Brazil 3’ set

UFC Fight Pass is counting down 500 memorable moments in honor of their 500th event, and here’s another one.

UFC 244 marked the promotion’s 500th live event, and the organization is marking the occasion with “an internally curated list of 500 Unforgettable Moments from UFC history.”

Scheduled to be released in seven installments, UFC Fight Pass 500 Moments shines a spotlight on some of the most memorable highlights – and lowlights – from the UFC’s 26-year run, both in and out of the cage.

UFC Fight Pass officials have committed to sharing video of a few of those key moments with MMA Junkie, as well. This time, we relive the wild brawl that went down on the set of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” between coaches [autotag]Wanderlei Silva[/autotag] and [autotag]Chael Sonnen[/autotag].

The long-simmering and real dislike between the two boiled over in what should have been a huge grudge match. They were scheduled on more than one occasion to fight, with the last date set for UFC 175. But both fighters were gone from the promotion before the fight could ever come off, and they finally got around to fighting years later in Bellator, where Sonnen won via decision.

You can watch some behind-the-scenes footage in the video above. And check out a few more memorable moments below:

Spinning Back Clique: What do we think of Greg Hardy now?

MMA Junkie’s John Morgan, Gorgeous George and Goze unpack the latest MMA news and notes in Episode 2 of “Spinning Back Clique.”

Welcome to “Spinning Back Clique,” MMA Junkie’s weekly show that takes a spin through the biggest topics in mixed martial arts. In this week’s episode, John Morgan, Gorgeous George and Goze touch on the biggest storylines from UFC on ESPN+ 21 and around the world of MMA.

Show rundown:

  • [autotag]Greg Hardy[/autotag] traveled all the way to Moscow on short notice for the biggest test of his early career and came away with a three-round unanimous decision loss to former Bellator heavyweight champion [autotag]Alexander Volkov[/autotag] at UFC on ESPN+ 21. What did this performance tell us about the controversial former NFL standout? Did it tell us anything significant about his MMA outlook moving forward?
  • [autotag]Zabit Magomedsharipov[/autotag] remained undefeated in the UFC at 6-0 with a three-round unanimous decision win over [autotag]Calvin Kattar[/autotag] in the UFC on ESPN+ 21 headliner. Afterward, Magomedsharipov called for a title shot. Was this the performance that sealed the deal? Or does Magomedsharipov need a more signature victory to stake his claim?
  • At first, [autotag]Nate Diaz[/autotag] said he wanted an immediate rematch with Jorge Masvidal. Then he was like, “peace out fight game.” Now he’s clarified he isn’t actually leaving the fight game, after all. What does all of this mean for Diaz’s future?
  • UFC light heavyweight champion [autotag]Jon Jones[/autotag] has made it clear that [autotag]Dominick Reyes[/autotag] is his next title defense of choice over Corey Anderson. Is that the right next move? What about heavyweight?
  • [autotag]Sergio Pettis[/autotag] is off to Bellator and has detailed the reasons why he left the UFC to jump ship. What do we make of this move and his outlook with Bellator?

For answers to all of those questions, watch Episode 2 of “Spinning Back Clique” in the video above.
