FootJoy may have outdone itself with its recent collaboration with Garrett Leight California Optical (GLCO) to produce limited-edition shoes and eyewear.

The Packard is lightweight and features hand-selected Pittards of England of a soft full grain, waterproof leather upper with a tortoise printed saddle. FJ’s Ortholite FitBed has a molded heel cup and the VersaTrax+ outsole is designed to give Tour proven fit and performance.

The Tarlow, as seen on the feet of PGA Tour players such as Justin Thomas, Ian Poulter and Billy Horschel, is a cap toe design from hand-selected leather with calfskin details. All variations of the shoes will include Gold Pulsar cleats by Softspikes that delivers no-slip grip and a great look as you finish your swing.

The sunglasses are inspired by Leight’s favorite golf legend, Chi Chi Rodriguez and are from the Elkgrove Sun collection.

Best Nike Tiger Woods apparel

Ever since he took the world by storm in 1997, Tiger Woods has been the standard for golf fashion.

Ever since he took the world by storm in 1997 when he won his first Masters and his first of 15 (and counting) majors, Tiger Woods has been the standard for golf fashion. Yes, we’re counting the baggy-pant phase as fashion.

This list explores the apparel and accessories that you too can wear to channel your inner Tiger. Unsurprisingly, most of our list is red and black. If Sunday greatness isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other colors offered throughout Nike’s collection of TW products.

Masters: Tiger Woods not wearing Nike golf shoes at Augusta National

Tiger was rocking FootJoy shoes for the second consecutive day at Augusta National.

As of Monday afternoon, Tiger Woods had not announced whether he intends to play in the 2022 Masters or not, but for the second straight day the five-time winner was at Augusta National hitting balls and practicing.

The new TaylorMade Stealth Plus+ driver was in the bag, along with his trusty Scotty Cameron Newport 2, the putter he has used to win 14 of his 15 major championships.

What is noteworthy, however, is that for the second day in a row, the newly-minted Hall of Famer was not wearing shoes with a swoosh. Woods wore a peach-colored Nike shirt and black pants on Sunday afternoon along with a pair of black FootJoy Premiere Packard shoes. On Monday, he matched a navy blue Nike polo with light gray pants and donned a pair of white FootJoy Premiere Packard shoes.

Golfweek contacted representatives from FootJoy and was told that the company has no comment at this time. Golfweek also reached out to Nike for comment but was unsuccessful in getting a response.

The FootJoy Premiere family of shoes were the most popular golf shoes on the PGA Tour in the 1960s, 70s and 80s. The company discontinued them briefly, then re-released the Premiere in 2021. Today’s versions are much lighter than the originals, thanks to the outsoles now being made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) instead of leather. There are also lighter materials in the midsole that enhance cushioning, but the waterproof leather upper still provides significant lateral stability.

Woods is scheduled to speak with the media on Tuesday.

Masters: Winners’ bags and golf equipment since 2010 at Augusta National

Check out the clubs that have helped golfers such as Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson win the green jacket.

Very few golf tournaments test a player’s equipment as does Augusta National each year during the Masters. Golfers must be able to hit the ball high to help it stop quickly on the lightning-fast greens, but swirling winds – especially around Amen Corner – can wreak havoc on club selection.

The sand in bunkers tends to be fluffy, and if the ground is also soft in a given year, high-bounce wedges can be helpful. But in years in which the course plays firm and fast, high-bounce wedges are not ideal for pitching and chipping the ball off tight fairway lies.

Pros tend to travel to tournaments with 16 to 18 clubs, typically their standard 14 clubs plus a backup driver, a backup putter and possibly a 2-iron or a hybrid that can be swapped into play based on course conditions that week. When they go to the Masters, they often take more just to be sure they have everything they could possibly need. Wedges with different sole configurations usually find their way into travel bags, too.

A pro’s work with equipment company representatives and technicians is different at the Masters than most weeks on the PGA Tour. Equipment vans usually are parked close to the driving range at PGA Tour events, but during Masters week they do not park on property at Augusta National.

Instead, the vans are across Washington Road. Almost no one has permission to use a mobile phone on the range or course, so people have to walk back and forth all day. After lunchtime Wednesday, as the Par 3 Contest takes place, the trucks leave and start driving to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and Harbour Town Golf Links, the site of the RBC Heritage.

Below is a list of all the clubs that Masters champions since 2010 have used to win their green jacket.

Masters: Adidas and Waffle House team up for limited-edition Tour 360 22 shoes

Adidas and Waffle House, a match made in heaven.

Going to Waffle House when you visit Augusta National may not be as traditional as the tournament champion slipping into a green jacket in Butler Cabin, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love it.

So does Bubba Watson, who went to Waffle House after winning the 2014 Masters. Phil Mickelson, a three-time Masters champion, made a bid to buy a company that owned 105 Waffle House restaurants in 2009. The deal fell through, but Lefty has made more than a few visits to Waffle House.

To celebrate the 2022 Masters, Adidas has teamed with Waffle House to create a limited-edition version of the new Tour 360 22 shoes.

The shoe is creamy-white on the outside with a waffle pattern along the top. The Waffle House logo is on the back and on the insoles, and the bottom of the shoes are adorned with a color scheme that looks like melted butter and syrup.

The Tour 360 22 was released in late January and has been worn by Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Danielle Kang and several other staff players. It has a unique, molded traction system on the bottom that is designed to increase stability without adding extra weight.

A full-length Boost cushioning layer in the midsole cushions your foot wither every step while a horseshoe shafted EVA stability piece helps to keep your foot from shifting on the downswing.

Available starting Thursday, April 7, on adidas.com and in select retail locations, the men’s version will sell for $210 while the women’s shoe will sell for $200.
