This edition of the podcast has interviews with NFL Wire editors for the Titans, Vikings and Jaguars to preview the Cardinals’ first three 2021 opponents.

The Arizona Cardinals will kick off the season on the road against the Tennessee Titans, take on the Minnesota Vikings at home in Week 2 and face the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road in Week 3 for their first three games of the 2021 season.

In the first of several opponent preview shows, I speak with Titans Wire managing editor Mike Moraitis, Vikings Wire managing editor Jack White and Jaguars Wire managing editor James Johnson to run down the last year for each of the teams they cover.

We review the 2020 season highs and lows, discuss key additions and subtractions in free agency, coaching changes, their draft class and the outlook for the 2021 season.

Cardinals to face 5 of NFL’s best centers in 2021

The Arizona Cardinals have the best center in the NFL entering 2021, but will also five top centers on their schedule this year.

The Arizona Cardinals have the league’s best center in Rodney Hudson. But the Cardinals will face a number of the best centers in the league.

In fact, they will face five of the 11 best centers in the league, based on Mark Schofield’s rankings for Touchdown Wire.

Cardinals will not have international game in 2021

The Mexico City game they were scheduled for in 2020 will not happen in 2021 and the Jaguars will host the Dolphins in London this season.

The Arizona Cardinals were scheduled to play a game in Mexico City in 2020. That didn’t end up happening. Because of the ongoing pandemic and how things are going there, there will be no Mexico City game in 2021. However, the Jacksonville Jaguars, one of the Cardinals’ 2021 road opponents, were slated to have a home game in London, making it possible for the Cardinals to return to the UK for the first time since 2017.

However, that will not be the case.

The Cardinals will face the Jaguars in Jacksonville, as it was announced that the Jag’s game in London will be against the Miami Dolphins.

Many fans will be relieved, considering the results of their game against the Los Angeles Rams in 2017. The Cardinals were shut out 33-0 in that game and quarterback Carson Palmer broke his arm in what would be the final game of his NFL career. He retired after the season.
