Cardinals’ practice bubble getting upgrades

The Cardinals are getting “cutting edge” upgrades to the turf and lighting in their indoor practice bubble in Tempe.

The Arizona Cardinals received low marks for its facilities in this year’s NFLPA team report cards. Quietly, though, they have been making upgrades and improvements.

One such improvement is in their practice bubble, where they hold practices during the hot days of summer.

Head coach Jonathan Gannon told reporters on Tuesday that the practice bubble was getting new turf and lighting.

“The surface is cutting edge, the lighting is cutting edge and that’s a really good resource for us to have,” Gannon said. “Especially because of our climate, so we’re going to be able to need to use that.”

The Cardinals will close training camp after next week and then return to Tempe for practices. They will get use of the upgrades in the practice bubble then.
