Cameron Dicker earns AFC Special Teams Player of the Month

The former Longhorn continues his impressive rookie campaign this weekend vs. the Jaguars.

The accolades continue to roll in for rookie kicker Cameron Dicker.

The former Longhorn began his NFL career jumping between organizations, primarily filling in for injured kickers as needed. However, he may have found a long-term home in Los Angeles.

The Chargers signed Dicker on Nov. 22 when they placed Dustin Hopkins on injured reserve. He has been nearly flawless since becoming the Chargers’ placekicker. Dicker finished the regular season with 47 total points, ranking second in the AFC for points scored by a kicker.

Dicker has a 95.5 field goal percentage on the season and has only missed one kick. On Thursday, he was named the AFC Special Teams player of the Month for December/January by the NFL.

The Texas ex will continue his impressive rookie campaign in the wild card round of the NFL playoffs vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday.
