Budda Baker taken to hospital after scary hit

There was good news, though, as he was alert and communicative and he never lost feeling or movement.

The Arizona Cardinals had a scare in the third quarter of their 34-11 loss to the Los Angeles Rams to eliminate them from the postseason. Cardinals safety Budda Baker tackled Rams running back Cam Akers and there was a big collision.

Baker went in low for the hit and Akers lowered his helmet, getting Baker in the head and neck area.

Baker remained motionless on the field after the play and had to be carted off on a stretcher.

The team announced that he suffered a concussion and that he would not return, but that he movement and feeling in his extremities.

The team later gave an update. Baker was taken to a local hospital for observation, he was alert a communicative and at no point did he lose feeling or movement, per medical staff.

It was scary to see but it appears to be a best-case scenario.
