Baker Mayfield is the latest addition to the NFC South’s quarterback club, heading to the Carolina Panthers in a trade that will send a conditional pick in the 2024 NFL draft back to the Cleveland Browns.
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft, Mayfield will now battle it out with Sam Darnold (the No. 3 overall pick from that same draft) for the starting job in Carolina, ahead of third-round rookie Matt Corral.
