Brooklyn Nets hire Corey Vinson as assistant coach

The Brooklyn Nets have hired Corey Vinson as an assistant coach, according to his LinkedIn post.

As the offseason rages on, one of the things the Brooklyn Nets have been addressing is head coach Jacque Vaughn’s coaching staff. One new addition is Corey Vinson, who will join Brooklyn as an assistant coach with a player development role according to his post on LinkedIn, .

According to Vinson’s profile, he began his coaching career as a graduate assistant in 2020 before becoming the assistant video coordinator and player development assistant for the Phoenix Suns in October of 2020. With the Suns, Vinson worked in various roles, such as player development, that allowed him to work with Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson.

Vinson has been moving up the ladder since he graduated from LSU in 2020. With the hiring of Vinson, the Nets’ current coaching staff consists of Adam Caporn, Ryan Forehan-Kelly, Trevor Hendry, Kevin Ollie, Jay Hernandez, Ronnie Burrell along with the aforementioned Vinson.
