The Brooklyn Nets (27-45) face the Washington Wizards (14-58) Wednesday. Tip-off from Capital One Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Nets vs. Wizards odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Nets lead 2-1

The Washington Wizards have won 3 games in a row! It’s way too late to help, but at least it shows they can win.

They beat the Chicago Bulls 107-105 Monday despite shooting worse from the field (40.2% vs. 41.4%) and having more turnovers (14 vs. 12) and fewer free throws (18 vs. 28). They did have more offensive rebounds and points off turnovers, both of which helped their momentum.

The Nets ended their 6-game losing streak in a uniquely low 96-88 win over the Toronto Raptors Monday. The Nets had twice as many turnovers (20 vs. 10) but dominated the boards (50 vs. 30).

Nets at Wizards picks and predictions

Prediction

Wizards 117, Nets 113

Moneyline

Washington is a bad team, but Brooklyn may not be at an advantage in this matchup. While they are 15-8 as favorites, that number drops to 4-5 in road games. I like the value here.

LEAN WIZARDS (+125).

Against the spread

Both of these teams stink after a win. The Wizards are just 5-8 ATS after a victory (38.5%), while the Nets are a slightly worse 9-15-2 (37.5%). The Nets also have the 4th worst record ATS as a road favorite (3-6) so I will take the points.

BET WIZARDS +3.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The Wizards are bad in most metrics this season. However, they do well pushing the ball up the court. They score the 2nd-most fastbreak points per game (17.4) in the NBA, and the Nets allow the 5th-most points from fastbreaks (15.3).

Add that with Brooklyn’s 61.5% Over rate after a win, and I expect points to be scored.

LEAN OVER 223.5 (-110).
