Brock Bowers leads all NFL tight ends in this one stat

Former UGA star Brock Bowers’ is leading all NFL tight ends in this one stat

Brock Bowers, in his debut season with the Las Vegas Raiders, has looked like a veteran tight end already. According to PFF, his grade is the third highest among all rookies and tight ends in the NFL, with a 77.9 grade.

After being picked 13th overall by the Raiders this past draft, he was expected to be one of the top weapons on a Raiders squad along with Davante Adams. So far, the former Georgia Bulldogs standout has proven the hype right.

Through three weeks, Bowers has 197 yards on 18 receptions, good for 10.9 yards per catch and 65.7 yards per game. No tight end in the NFL has more receptions than Bowers. Those numbers place him second among tight ends in yards and yards per game. He currently ranks tenth in yards per catch.

Despite the excellence, Bowers is still looking to score his first career touchdown. He’ll be looking to do so at home against the Cleveland Browns in Week 4 on Sunday, Sept. 29th. The Raiders are hoping to bounce back after suffering an embarrassing loss to the Carolina Panthers. Georgia fans should be excited to see him evolve as a red-zone threat.

Bowers is far from the only Georgia rookie having a breakout season in the NFL.
