Bills’ Damar Hamlin discharged from hospital & heads home

#Bills’ Damar Hamlin discharged from hospital & heads home:

Damar Hamlin is no longer spending time in a hospital bed.

The 24-year-old member of the Buffalo Bills defense has officially been released from Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institution.

Hamlin had arrived at the facility on Monday after he was discharged from a Cincinnati hospital and allowed to continue his recovery in western New York.

Dr. Jamie Nadler released this statement on Hamlin’s updated health on Thursday:

“We have completed a series of test and evaluations and in consultation with the team physicians, we are confident that Damar can be safely discharged to continue his rehabilitation at home and with the Bills.”

Hamlin finally heads back to the comforts of home after suffering cardiac arrest on Jan. 2 in a NFL game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Hamlin has continually made positive progress since the scary injury occurred during the contest. After falling to the ground, Hamlin had CPR preformed on him and the situation appeared grim but thanks to the efforts of medical personnel, he’s back home nearly 10 days after the incident.

When departing from Cincy, Hamlin’s doctors stated it was far too soon to speculate about his football future.

Bills Wire will continue to provide updates on Hamlin as information is made available.
