Last season, there were seven touchdown passes thrown to offensive linemen, but sadly, that trend hasn’t continued at the same rate in 2020. We always love the Big Man Touchdowns, because as John Madden said in The Replacements, “I love to see a fat guy score. Because first you get a fat guy spike, then you get the fat guy dance.”

Well, the Browns upped the number against the Titans (who had two of those touchdowns last season) with four seconds elapsed in the second quarter. Baker Mayfield gave the red zone fake to running back Nick Chubb, Chubb jumped over the defense as if the ball was his, and that left things wide open for offensive tackle Kendall Lamm, who got the whole experience out of this play.

This put the Browns up 17-7 after the extra point, and we at Touchdown Wire would like to ask every offensive coordinator to mix more Big Man Touchdown plays into their playbooks.
