The Auburn basketball season is off to a great start.

Sitting at 7-1 on the season, the Tigers are ranked at 16 in the NET rankings.

According to the NCAA’s website, the NET includes more components than just winning percentage. It takes into account game results, the strength of schedule, game location, scoring margin, net offensive, and defensive efficiency, and the quality of wins and losses.

Looking at NET, Auburn is currently the fourth-ranked team in the SEC. LSU comes in at two, Tennessee is at 11, Alabama is ranked at 15.

Behind Auburn is Florida at 22 and Kentucky at 39.

Bruce Pearl’s Tigers have a week off before taking on Nebraska in Atlanta for the Holiday Hoopsgiving.
