Nick Taylor holds a one-shot lead at 17 under over Phil Mickleson entering Sunday’s final round. Mickelson followed rounds of 68-64 with a 67 Saturday.
Jason Day sits three shots off the lead at 14 under after carding a 70.
Mickelson won at Pebble last year, finishing 19 under and beating Paul Casey by three shots. It was Mickelson’s fifth victory in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and at 48 he became the oldest champion in tournament history.
Currently 72nd in the world rankings, Mickelson needs to get into the top 60 to make it into the U.S. Open.
