Arkansas Softball to open 2023 season in the Sunshine State

Arkansas will open next season by playing College Softball’s best teams in Florida.

The Arkansas Razorbacks softball program set the bar high for themselves in 2022, by winning the SEC regular season as well as the Tournament crown before closing their season in the Super Regionals.

The Razorbacks proved that they can handle the strong competition of College Softball’s elite teams. Because of that, they will open the 2023 season in Clearwater, Fla. at the 4th annual TaxAct Clearwater Invitational presented by Evoshield.

The Invitational will feature 16 teams, half of the field competed in the 2022 Super Regionals, while three of those programs went on to play in the Women’s College World Series. Joining Arkansas will be Alabama, Arizona, Duke, Florida State, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, South Florida, Texas A&M, UCF, UCLA and Virginia Tech.

The tournament is one of the most prestigious in-season tournaments. Not only does it feature top programs in a pristine location, but it partners with ESPN in an effort to give each competing program exposure by broadcasting every game on the ESPN family of networks.

The TaxAct Clearwater Invitational is set to take place February 16-19 in Clearwater, Fla. A full tournament schedule and ticket information will be released in the fall.
