Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards will reportedly represent the organization on Tuesday in the NBA draft lottery, according to Zach Lowe of ESPN.

The Timberwolves will be hoping that Edwards, as the No. 1 overall pick last year, can help bring some luck to the lottery. They are currently slotted sixth but will send their pick to the Golden State Warriors if it lands outside of the top three.

Minnesota sent its first-round pick this year to the Warriors in the trade involving Andrew Wiggins and D’Angelo Russell. If they can manage to keep it this year, they would send an unprotected first-round pick to the Warriors in 2022.

The draft lottery will hold significant ramifications for the Timberwolves and Warriors. With the draft projected to be strong near the top of the board, adding a potential star player could drastically change the course of their future.

The NBA draft lottery is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. EST.
