Anthony Davis puts L.A. home up for sale, asking for $8 million

Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis is asking for $8 million on a home he paid over $7.4 million for.

While it’s not that surprising given that Anthony Davis is one of the highest-paid players in the NBA, on his way to becoming even more highly paid, it is somewhat interesting that Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis put his home on the market earlier this week, according to The Los Angeles Times.

Davis is asking for just under $8 million for the house in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Westlake. According to the LAT report, Davis paid just under $7.5 million for the home when he first bought it. Some Lakers fans could be a little worried that he’s selling his house before his free agency, given that he and the Lakers didn’t have an opportunity to win a championship. However, everything that Davis has said this season about LeBron James and all that he’s done seems to indicate he’s not eager to leave LeBron’s side.

If the NBA is able to find some sort of conclusion, even in a tournament, that may help solidify Davis staying with the Lakers. New York had been rumored as a possibility and with Anthony’s hometown Chicago Bulls changing their leadership amidst the hiatus, there is a bit more intrigue in Davis’ free agency than their ways five weeks ago.
