Another Michigan football game time, channel tentatively set

With the Big Ten’s new media rights deal kicking in this year, the conference’s footprint on television will look different. ESPN and ABC will no longer carry the conference’s games. Instead, CBS and NBC enter the fray.

During Big Ten media days last month, Action Network’s Brett McMurphy revealed what is essentially NBC’s wish list of games. Two Michigan football matchups could end up taking place at night should the network get its pick.

Of course, Fox has first dibs on games, so certain matchups that could appear appealing early in the season may not be by the time the game rolls around. The same could be said of games that appear to be off-the-radar but may be top matchups later in the year.

McMurphy was back at it on Tuesday, noting games Fox and Peacock (NBC’s streaming arm) have bookmarked. Michigan football had one game on his list, Week 5’s road game at Nebraska, which Fox would potentially like to be broadcast as its Big Noon Kickoff game.

With this in mind, here is what the schedule looks like at the moment. We’ve noted whether each game is set, meaning it’s tentative until further notice.

At the moment, six game times have been set while six await a channel for broadcast. But here is the tentative schedule:
