Andrew Funk leads Penn State basketball in win over Nebraska

[autotag]Andrew Funk[/autotag]’s big scoring output helped pace Penn State to a home win against Nebraska on Saturday afternoon, lifting the Nittany Lions to .500 in Big Ten play. Penn State celebrated a 76-65 win in the Bryce Jordan Center for the Coaches vs. Cancer game.

Funk led all players with 23 points scored after scoring 16 points in the first half. Funk continued to be a force from beyond the three-point line with five three-pointers in the game, a game-high.

[autotag]Seth Lundy[/autotag] added 16 points to help the winning effort and [autotag]Jalen Pickett[/autotag] had 12 points to go with his 13 rebounds.

Penn State jumped out to an early lead and held the edge at halftime. Nebraska tied things up early in the second half but the Nittany Lions put together a run to pull away and put Nebraska in the rearview mirror for the remainder of the game.

Penn State’s next game will be Tuesday night at Rutgers.
