Tennessee’s Alison Ojeda named SEC Co-Coach of the Year.

Tennessee women’s tennis head coach Alison Ojeda was named SEC Co-Head Coach of the Year when the conference announced its postseason awards Thursday.

Ojeda shared Coach of the Year honors with Texas A&M coach Mark Weaver.

Tennessee finished the regular season 19-5 (11-2 SEC) and were undefeated at home.

Ojeda is the third head coach in program history to earn conference coach of the year honors. Previous head coaches honored include Mike Patrick and Sonia Hahn-Patrick, who won the award in 2001 and 2009.

Tennessee student-athletes Daria Kuczer, Rebeka Mertena and Elza Tomase also earned first-team all-conference honors. 2023 marks the first time three Tennessee student-athletes were named first-team All-SEC selections.
