Alabama SF Dom Welch available for semifinal matchup against Missouri

Alabama forward Dom Welch suffered a tailbone injury yesterday against Mississippi State. Alabama head coach Nate Oats confirmed that Welch will be available in today’s semifinal matchup against Missouri.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats confirmed on Saturday that forward Dom Welch will be available for today’s semifinal matchup against Missouri. CBSSports’ Jon Rothstein was the first to report the news.

Welch suffered a tailbone bruise in the quarterfinals against Mississippi State. He subsequently went to the locker room and did not return to the game.

His availability could be very impactful for the Tide in both the SEC and NCAA Tournament. Welch is a proven three-point shooter and presents trouble for opposing offenses with his length.

As of late, Welch has come on for the Tide. He scored eight points against Georgia several weeks ago and provided seven points in a close affair with Arkansas.

This is good news for Alabama as they look to continue their run into the NCAA Tournament.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow the Alabama basketball program.
