Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green remained out of training camp practice Monday.
Green saw fellow wideouts John Ross and Tee Higgins return to action over the weekend but he was watching from the side in shorts to start the week. That marks a week since he suffered what was classified as a minor hamstring injury.
At the time, Zac Taylor downplayed the injury and said he’s seen enough of Green as it is. Coaches said Green wasn’t going to play in last Friday’s scrimmage anyway.
Green went down with the issue last Monday, got looked at by trainers on the field and was then shut down.
Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer later noted Green was at least working on the rehab field:

While Taylor and Co. are right to take it slow with Green and already know what he brings to the table, the veteran wideout still needs to form a rapport with quarterback Joe Burrow before the season begins.
Barring a setback, Green will presumably be back practicing soon.
