If you talk to any of Alec Ingold’s teammates from his time in the NFL or at Wisconsin, you will hear about how he makes every locker room a better place.
Ingold was chosen on Tuesday as the Miami Dolphins nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, the top off-the-field honor in the NFL. The award is given to NFL players “who excel on the field and demonstrate a passion for creating a lasting positive impact beyond the game in their communities.”
“We are proud to recognize Alec as our Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year nominee and proud to have him represent the Miami Dolphins,” Dolphins GM Chris Grier said. “Alec demonstrates excellence on the field on daily basis, but his leadership and positive influence on others off the field is even more exemplary.”
Ingold was also voted a captain by his Miami Dolphins teammates:
"He makes everyone around him better."
We surprised @AI_XLV with a video telling him he's our Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee. 🧡 #WPMOYChallenge pic.twitter.com/TGRushN4fh
