Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets running back Jamal Haynes did a unique touchdown celebration during Georgia Tech’s 44-42 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in eight overtimes.
Haynes walked a Bulldog after Georgia Tech went up 10-0 in the second quarter. He did the celebration after his teammate, quarterback Haynes King scored a rushing touchdown.
Haynes’ celebration is unique and honestly pretty well done, but there’s just one problem. The Dawgs bit back.
Haynes and Georgia Tech built up a 17-0 lead in the first half, but the Dawgs fought back in the second half. Georgia scored 21 fourth quarter points to force overtime.
Georgia shut down five of Georgia Tech’s six two-point conversion attempts in overtime en route to pulling off one of the most miraculous wins in recent memory. According to ESPN, Georgia Tech had at least a 97% chance to win on four separate occasions, but Georgia prevailed and the Bulldogs may have just walked into the College Football Playoff.
