Packers at full strength in first practice coming off bye

The Packers had every player on the field practicing on Wednesday, the first coming out of the bye and the first in prep of playing the Bears Sunday.

The Green Bay Packers were at full participation during Wednesday’s practice, the first coming off the bye week, according to Mike Spofford of the team’s official site.

Every player was on the practice field and participating in some capacity ahead of Sunday’s showdown with the Chicago Bears.

Just as coach Matt LaFleur hoped, cornerback Jaire Alexander, center Josh Myers and safety Evan Williams all returned to practice after missing the Packers’ Week 9 loss to the Detroit Lions.

The Packers also had rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd on the practice field for the first time since Week 2. The third-round pick is designated to return from injured reserve and could fill the final roster spot ahead of Sunday.

Another piece of good injury news: tight end Tucker Kraft is no longer wearing a no-contact red uniform at practice, so his shoulder might have improved significantly during the off bye.

The bye appears to have come at a good time for LaFleur’s team. Several key players, including quarterback Jordan Love, needed to get healthy ahead of the stretch run.

The first injury report of the week arrives later Wednesday. We’ll know then just how healthy the team is entering Week 11.

The Bears are expecting to be without safety Jaquan Brisker, offensive lineman Teven Jenkins and edge rusher Montez Sweat for Wednesday’s practice.
