Only three teams stayed put in the AP Top 25 after Week 10 of the 2024 college football season, but eight SEC programs remain ranked as the regular season begins to wind down.
Oregon and Georgia remain in the top two spots with wins over Michigan and Florida, respectively. The Gators had the Bulldogs on the ropes in the first half, but an injury to true freshman quarterback [autotag]DJ Lagway[/autotag] spoiled the upset bid.
Texas moved up a spot in the rankings to No. 5 while on bye, and Tennessee held at No. 7 with a 10-point win over Kentucky. Because of several losses in the top 15, Alabama moved up three spots to No. 11 while on bye, and the trio of LSU, Texas A&M and Ole Miss own the Nos. 14-16 spots.
Vanderbilt is the surprise team from the conference in this week’s rankings. The Commodores are bowl-eligible for the first time since 2018 and still have three more games to play.
