Week 10 of the College Football season has concluded, and several SEC teams remain in the hunt for a spot within the College Football Playoff.
Ahead of the first CFP rankings reveal of the season, nine SEC teams have earned a place within the US LBM Coaches Poll, five teams from the conference are included among the top 12.
Georgia checks in at No. 2 after taking down Florida on Saturday while Texas and Tennessee benefits from Penn State’s loss to Ohio State, jumping one place to No. 5 and No. 6 respectively.
Alabama moves up three spots to No. 11 ahead of its date with No. 13 LSU on Saturday. Ole Miss moves up six spots to No. 12 after its 63-31 showing at Arkansas on Saturday while Texas A&M falls to No. 16 after dropping a road contest to South Carolina.
Rounding out the SEC’s representation in the top 25 is Missouri and Vanderbilt. The Tigers advance one place to No. 22 despite taking a bye week, and the Commodores return to the top 25 after defeating Auburn on the road, 17-7.
Looking ahead, Auburn faces two ranked opponents over its final three games. Auburn battles No. 16 Texas A&M at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Nov. 23 and will conclude the regular season at No. 11 Alabama on Nov. 30.
