Broncos RB Tyler Badie carted to locker room, ruled out vs. Jets

Prayers up for Broncos RB Tyler Badie, who left Sunday’s game against the Jets with a back injury.

Following a fumble in the first quarter against the New York Jets on Sunday, Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie layed down on the sideline and was later loaded into a cart and taken into the locker room.

The team initially announced that Badie was questionable to return with a back injury, but he was later ruled out in the second quarter.

Badie was hit in the back by Jets linebacker Quincy Williams on a catch late in the first quarter. Badie fumbled the ball after the hit and New York recovered.

Broncos rookie running back Blake Watson is inactive today and fellow rookie Audric Estime is on injured reserve, so Denver is down to just Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin following Badie’s injury.

Elsewhere on the injury front, Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims returned to the game after being evaluated for a ribs injury after he took an illegal hit after he called for a fair catch on a punt return.
