The Clemson Tigers are once again on the rise in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
After their 59-35 victory over rival NC State on Saturday, the Tigers (2-1) moved up four spots to No. 15 in the Week 4 Coaches Poll. It’s the third straight week that Clemson has moved up in the poll.
The top five teams all remained the same with the Georgia Bulldogs staying at No. 1. Georgia (3-0) had a bye this weekend ahead of their top five matchup against the fourth-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
The Texas Longhorns were ranked No. 2 with the Ohio State Buckeyes at No. 3. The Ole Miss Rebels stayed at No. 5. All three teams posted lopsided wins against Group of Five competition in Week 4.
Elsewhere in the top 10, the Tennessee Volunteers jumped the Oregon Ducks to move up one spot to No. 6 after the Vols’ 25-15 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners in Norman.
In the ACC, the Miami Hurricanes (4-0) remained the league’s highest-ranked team at No. 9. Miami moved up two spots to jump into the top 10 for the first time this season after a 50-15 victory over South Florida at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
Louisville (3-0), which defeated Georgia Tech 31-19 in the Cardinals’ ACC opener, rose three spots to No. 17. Louisville will visit South Bend to take on No. 14 Notre Dame (3-1) Saturday. The Fighting Irish are ranked one spot ahead of Clemson at No. 14.
The Tigers will host ACC newcomer Stanford in Death Valley at 7 p.m. ET this Saturday. The game will be televised on ESPN.
