Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison was impressive as a rookie, starting 14 games. He was taken by Minnesota with the 23rd pick in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Addison almost immediately became the No. 2 option for the Vikings offense. He saw north of 100 targets and was heavily involved in the passing game. Below, we look at Jordan Addison’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Entering 2024, Addison is expected to take another big step in his development, but considering the lack of playmaking at quarterback for Minnesota, his numbers may not reflect his talent. The 22-year-old is intriguing in terms of fantasy value.

Jordan Addison’s ADP: 105.72

(ADP data courtesy of MyFantasyLeague.com; last updated at time of this publishing – ADPs continually change as more drafts occur)

Addison has an ADP of 105.72 in redraft leagues, which puts him in the 9th to 11th round, depending on the size of the league. His ADP is lower than his teammate Dallas Turner’s (89.25), though.

Among wide receivers, Addison’s ADP puts him 46th at the position, behind the likes of DeAndre Hopkins (Tennessee Titans), Courtland Sutton (Denver Broncos) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Seattle Seahawks), and slightly ahead of Jameson Williams (Detroit Lions), Jakobi Meyers (Las Vegas Raiders) and Marquise Brown (Kansas City Chiefs).

Where should you draft Addison?

Addison’s fantasy value should take a hit this year from the lack of capable quarterback play in Minnesota. First-round pick J.J. McCarthy from Michigan sustained a season-ending injury, and Sam Darnold is set to take over.

Darnold was a backup in San Francisco last season and was set to be a backup when training camp opened. Both Addison and Justin Jefferson were strong fantasy options last season, but each should see a decline in catch rate and a dip in both yards and touchdowns given their change in quarterback.

Addison ended with 38 first downs on 70 receptions, so almost 50% of his catches resulted in a new set of downs for Minnesota. He averaged 53.6 yards per game and has 6 or more receptions in six games. It was a solid rookie season, and Addison will be the clear 2nd option in the offense. The better question is: how much opportunity will there really be? The last time Darnold started double-figure games, 2021, he threw for just 210 passing yards per game.

That isn’t good enough to give Addison, the 2nd option, a lofty fantasy value; however, the talent is there. He should improve as a player, which matters as well. Draft Addison in the early 10th round in both PPR and standard formats. He should have slightly more value in PPR formats as he should see a significant target share.
