This summer will be an important one for the San Antonio Spurs. As they look to build out the roster around star big man Victor Wembanyama, they’ll have multiple chances to make changes. Free agency and the trade market will be crucial, but the Spurs will also have to nail their pick(s) in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Getting some more ball handling next to Wembanyama is undoubtedly going to be a top priority for the Spurs, and there’s a chance they could find someone in the draft to help in that area. One guy to keep an eye on will be Kentucky guard Rob Dillingham, who just wrapped up an impressive rookie season with the Wildcats.
The CLAN the SPURS fan YouTube channel recently discussed whether or not Dillingham could be a good fit in San Antonio.
In 32 games with the Wildcats (including 31 off the pine), Dillingham averaged 15.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists while shooting 47.5% from the field and 44.4% from behind the three-point line.
