The Blue Devils will battle Ohio State in the second round of the NCAA Women’s Tournament on Sunday.
The Buckeyes, the No. 2 seed in the Portland 3 region, enter the game with a 26-5 record on the season so far. They beat Maine 80-57 in the first round of the tournament, led by a 19-point effort from senior guard Jacy Sheldon.
Sheldon led the Buckeyes with 18.0 points per game during the season, the third-most in the Big Ten.
Duke trailed early against Richmond in the opening round, but a strong second half powered the Blue Devils to a 72-61 victory. Reigan Richardson led the way with 25 points while Ashlon Jackson buried four 3-pointers in her 14-point performance.
