For the Kentucky Wildcat’s men’s basketball team, it’s another year, and another early exit from the SEC Tournament. This time, the loss came courtesy of the Texas A&M Aggies by a score of 97 – 87.
Kentucky trailed for most of the game, as their defense failed to get stops over and over again. The Aggie guards were able to get far too many open looks, and they made a high percentage of them.
Rob Dillingham scored 27 points, but the rest of the team struggled to get into a rhythm. Defensively, the Wildcats were toothless, and they generally let the Aggies have their way.
Kentucky has had little success in the SEC Tournament in recent years. They have now lost three consecutive conference tourney games, something unheard of before this season. The Wildcats will now go home and wait for Sunday to see where they’ll be seeded in the NCAA Tournament.
