The USC women’s basketball team lost two games this past week in Utah and Colorado. The Trojans weren’t able to maintain their top-six national ranking or their projected No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but Utah and Colorado are both top-20 teams in their own right. USC competed extremely well against Colorado, a team which might be a No. 1 seed in March Madness. Moreover, the Trojans competed well versus the Buffs even though JuJu Watkins fouled out with nearly six minutes left in regulation.
We discussed — on our newest Trojans Wired podcast — the play which fouled out Watkins. We also talked about the need for Rayah Marshall to regain full rhythm and strength after being sick a week ago. We identified one particular key for JuJu Watkins and USC as they move forward with their season. There’s a lot to consider in our new women’s basketball podcast. You will want to follow us over the next several weeks, carrying through the 2024 Women’s NCAA Tournament.
