Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero remains in demand.
As reported by NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero on Sunday afternoon, the Seattle Seahawks are planning a second interview with Evero for their head-coaching vacancy. The team is also reportedly looking into follow-up chats with Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris and New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka.
Seattle first requested to speak with Evero this past Monday. The Panthers and Atlanta Falcons have conducted interviews with the 43-year-old play-caller for their head coach position as well.
Evero, in his second campaign as a defensive coordinator, was behind the NFL’s fourth-ranked unit in 2023. Carolina, despite having to deal with injuries to a number key starters throughout the season, allowed just 293.9 yards per contest—more than only the Cleveland Browns (270.2), Kansas City Chiefs (289.8) and New York Jets (292.3).
