A somber Sunday morning followed Florida football’s devastating defeat in the Swamp at the hands of their biggest in-state rivals, the Florida State Seminoles.
Despite a strong first half that gave them a five-point lead heading into halftime, the Gators struggled in the final 30 minutes, falling 24-15. It was a rollercoaster affair throughout with the two teams sluggishly grinding against each other behind their backup quarterbacks, with plenty of emotions and penalties throughout.
Unfortunately, the performance was once again rife with mental errors and attitude issues that doomed Billy Napier and Co. once again. If you are keeping count out there, that is at least three games the Gators have gift-wrapped for their opponents — twice on their home field!
As one might expect, the Gators Nation was not pleased with Saturday night’s outcome, but at the same time, there is a general sense of dejection that the fanbase has habituated to.
