NEW: Kim Mulkey addresses Angel Reese’s absence in win at Southeastern Louisiana

Kim Mulkey affirmed that Angel Reese is still with the team but did not provide further details.

LSU women’s basketball cruised to another win on Friday night on the road in Hammond against Southeastern Louisiana, earning a 73-50 win.

It did so without star forward [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag], who was not with the team for the game after she was benched in the second half of Sunday’s win over Kent State. Coach [autotag]Kim Mulkey[/autotag] addressed the situation after the game, affirming that Reese is still with the team but declining to provide further details.

“You want me to explain why? It’s very obvious Angel was not in uniform, Angel is a part of this basketball team, and we hope you see her sooner than later,” she said.

Mulkey declined to provide further explanation.

“That’s all you all need to know,” she said.

Reese’s status with the team will certainly be something to monitor as LSU prepares to host Texas Southern on Monday.
