Veteran All-America defensive lineman Braken Trice is a force for Washington. Trice has 24 tackles, 2.5 sacks and 36 quarterback pressures for the Huskies’ defense this season. He has been one of the best linemen in the Pac-12 over the past few years, but he has his work cut out against Caleb Williams and the USC Trojans’ offense this weekend.
The Bronko Nagurski Trophy candidate’s effort and impact on the game are evident. USC has to make sure that impact is minimized this Saturday in Los Angeles.
While Trice’s motor doesn’t always show up in terms of sacks, he is making life miserable for a lot of opposing quarterbacks.
NFL scouts have noticed as well, as shown by the fact that the 6-4 and 274-pound prospect has moved into the first round of the 2024 NFL draft on some draft boards. One set of early projections slotted him between the 25th and 32nd pick of the draft.
Look for the star pass rusher on Saturday. If he is making an impact, it’s great for Washington. If he is being held in check, USC’s odds of winning go way up.
