Can Kristaps Porzingis and Jayson Tatum lead the Celtics to a title?

Kristaps Porzingis and Jayson Tatum have looked solid in their first two games together, but can they lead the Boston Celtics to a championship?

Kristaps Porzingis is already making a big impact for the Boston Celtics. The versatile big man has vastly improved his team’s spacing and has provided some impressive performances in the team’s opening two games. Jayson Tatum has been taking advantage of the additional space in the driving lanes, adopting a pressure-based game and altering his shot profile as a result.

Tatum is at his best when bullying his way to the rim and taking advantage of his size and length. Porzingis is making that style of offense easier. Jaylen Brown – another wing at his best when slashing into the lane, has also made the most of the additional space. While Derrick White and Jrue Holiday have already begun making their presence felt.

In a recent podcast episode, Michael Holley and Michael Smith began to dream of a memorable season for the Celtics. The duo referenced Boston’s opening game win against the New York Knicks as an indicator that Porzingis and Tatum can lead the franchise to its first championship since 2008.
