Aaron Rodgers’ 2023 season is over, and while we’re all concentrating on how devastating it is for him and the New York Jets, it’s Rodgers’ former team that’s affected by it, too.
When the Packers dealt Rodgers to Gang Green, they received a 2024 second-round pick … but it would have become a 2024 first-rounder if Rodgers had played more than 65 percent of the snaps for the Jets in 2023.
You know what happened on Monday. Now, that means the Packers will have to make do with a second-rounder.
Still, that’s a trade you do a billion times out of a billion, given Rodgers’ age and how unhappy he was in Green Bay.
