Broncos ranked 25th in NFL power rankings after Week 1

Coming off a close loss to the Raiders, the Broncos are ranked 25th in NFL power rankings going into Week 2.

Coming off a 17-16 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders (1-0), the Denver Broncos (0-1) are ranked 25th in Nate Davis’ post-Week 1 NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. That’s down six spots from Davis’ preseason rank of No. 19 overall for Denver.

Davis didn’t have much commentary to provide on the Broncos this week, simply noting the struggles of new kicker Wil Lutz:

Rough debut for recently added K Wil Lutz, who missed a field goal and extra point in Denver’s 17-16 loss.

Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs are ranked No. 4, followed by the Los Angeles Chargers at No. 13 and the Raiders at No. 24. Denver is the lowest-ranked team in the division going into Week 1.

The Washington Commanders, who the Broncos are set to host this week, are ranked No. 26, one spot below Denver.

The Arizona Cardinals are ranked 32nd (last) going into Week 2. To view the complete NFL power rankings from Davis, visit USA TODAY.
