Former Clemson star Isaiah Simmons has a new home in the NFL.
According to multiple reports, Simmons has been traded from the Arizona Cardinals to the New York Giants. Simmons is on the move. He has been traded for a seventh-round pick in 2024.
Simmons, known for his versatility and athleticism, has struggled in his time with the Cardinals as they hadn’t found a way to properly use the multi-skill athlete. A change of scenery is exactly what Simmons needed, and Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale is a guy who can get the most out of Simmons’ talent.
Simmons was selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the 8th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft with high expectations of him becoming a chess piece in the Cardinals’ defense. This is an excellent opportunity for the young defender to find his way in the league, and the situation couldn’t be better.
He joins a defense led by All-Pro and former Clemson teammate Dexter Lawrence, who is arguably the best player on the Giants roster.
