Despite only spending two of his collegiate season with the Crimson Tide after transferring from Florida State, [autotag]Landon Dickerson[/autotag] quickly became a fan favorite and one of the best interior linemen Alabama has had in recent years.
Dickerson was a key member of the Tide’s 2020 National Championship team as he was the Rimington Trophy winner, First-team All-SEC and a unanimous All-American. Dickerson suffered brutal ligament damage in his knee in the 2020 SEC Championship Game that ended his collegiate career.
It was an emotional scene as the entire team ran out onto the field for him and you could tell he was the heart and soul of the roster. Unfortunately, the injury resulted in Dickerson falling into the second round where the Eagles selected him No. 37 overall, which was a blessing in disguise. Dickerson is now a vital part of one of the most exciting offenses in the NFL tasked with protecting Alabama legend Jalen Hurts.
Dickerson really found his groove in the NFL in 2022 as he earned Pro Bowl honors and made his first career Super Bowl appearance. Alongside Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce, they make up the best interior offensive line in the entire league and I am not sure there is a close second.
In fact, Dickerson was the second-highest-ranked interior offensive lineman in 2022 in terms of Pass-Block win rate where he posted a remarkable 97.0. There is certainly still room for growth in his run-blocking game, but protecting the QB is the most important part of football and he has clearly mastered that.
