Luke Fickell’s first full recruiting class at Wisconsin is officially trending. In the right direction, that is.
The program landed a commitment from four-star running back Dilin Jones earlier today, its No. 8 four-star player and No. 20 overall in the class. Of note, Jones is now the highest-ranked player in Wisconsin’s group with a national ranking of No. 178.
The eight four-star players out of 20 overall commitments means Wisconsin sits with a blue-chip ratio of 40%. The program’s highest finish in that area is 42% from the tremendous 2021 class.
The addition of Jones also continued to elevate Wisconsin’s group in the national rankins. The class is now up to No. 17 overall in 247Sports’ ranking, also good for No. 4 in the Big Ten (No. 5 if USC is included).
Fickell and his staff are on a tremendous heater on the recruiting trail, now having added four four-star recruits since the start of July. If that trend continues, the group can legitimately threaten the top 15 by the end of the cycle.
